Fort Matara
Fort was built in 1645 by the Dutch. To this day, the gates and ramparts are perfectly preserved. You can climb to the very top of the tower, from there a beautiful view of the entire Matara.
The oldest building is the Dutch Reformed Church. Inside the temple there are several tombstones in which representatives of the nobility were buried.

Beach Matara
The entrance to the water is gentle, the depth increases gradually. Due to the presence of reefs, there are practically no high waves, so swimming here is quite comfortable, even with young children.
There is a playground and a sports ground, as well as many cafes, restaurants and bars, with Sri Lankan, Asian and European dishes.

Polhena Beach
A small sandy area with a golden hue with clear blue waters and a flat bottom. There are no surfers, and therefore no party clutter. There are no violent waves due to the coral reef nearby.
The bottom is shallow, sandy, without stones. On weekdays, the beach is not crowded, but on weekends local people come here, so it gets livelier.

How long have you been working?
Our hotel welcomes guests from the beginning of this season - October 2019, just renovated and all furniture and equipment new.
What is included in the breakfast? What time is it?
The price includes a European breakfast: oatmeal with fruits (optional), toasts with butter, fruits, coffee (tea of choice). Breakfast time from 8 to 10 in the morning.
Can you meet me at the airport?
Yes, we can send you a taxi that will take you to the door of the hotel. To do this, you need to tell us the arrival date and your flight number.
